Jack has designed the perfect five course Willamette Valley Vineyards pairing menu from local Oregon bounty with his "freestyle" cuisine; you will have the choice from three entrée selections. Willamette Valley Vineyards is celebrating 25 years of Oregon Pinot Noir. A combination of extraordinary people brought Willamette Valley Vineyards from an idea to become one of the region's leading wineries earning the title of "One of America's Great Pinot Noir Producers", from Wine Enthusiast Magazine. The Cayuga Wine Trail is hosting it's third Greyhound Gathering for a celebration of greyhound adoption, where Greyhounds are welcome at all the wineries. Each human participant will receive a commemorative Greyhound wine glass and enjoy wine tastings and food pairings. Greyhounds will receive doggie treats and partake in an ice cream social. one on Sat. at Cayuga Ridge Winery/Thirsty Owl Winery and the other on Sunday at Taughannock Falls State Park. Participants will be eligible to win an overnight stay at the Hampton Inn in Ithaca. To enter this contest, just drop off your wine tasting card with your name and address at the last winery you visit. In addition there will be doggie vendors and an Adopt-a-Greyhound booths at most wineries. This event is welcome to all dog owners or non dog owners but inclusive only to greyhounds. If you have a pet at home we'll be happy to give you a doggie treat to take home with you. Ticket price is $25.00 per person with a portion of every ticket sold, donated to greyhound adoption groups in New York and Pennsylvania. Tickets can be purchased at any Wegmans store through their That's the Ticket Program at their Customer Service desk( used to be able to purchase at the Video Dept.).
