Cabernet Sauvignon
Juicy berry flavors, toasty oak and medium tannins make this full bodied, medium-dry wine an excellent choice for the novice as well as the connoisseur. It is fast becoming the wine of choice for many of our local patrons.

Chardonnay
Often made with Apple, Pear, Vanilla, Fig, Peach, Pineapple, Melon, Citrus, Lemon, Grapefruit, Honey, Spice, Butterscotch, Butter or Hazelnut flavourings. Chardonnay takes well to Oak aging and barrel fermentation. It is easy to manipulate with techniques such as sur lie aging and malolactic fermentation. Our Chardonnay is a medium-bodied Chardonnay that delivers a nice, refreshing, fruity flavor, with a hint of toasty oak.

Malbec
Malbec is popular in Argentina and Chile. While it once was also grown in Bordeaux, it is not as commonly used here in modern years. This black grape creates a rustic, mid-bodied wine, but is most often used in blending with other wines. In Argentina it is almost the most-planted red grape, and is the third most planted in Chile.

Merlot
Gentle, dark berry flavors and a whisper of toasted oak will come through in just the first few sips. The gentle velvet and smooth "drink me now" appeal, will show you why Carlos Creek Winery's Merlot is one of our best nation-wide sellers.
|
Muscat
Also known as Muscat Blanc and Muscat Canelli. With pronounced spice and floral notes it can also be used for blending. A versatile grape that can turn into anything from Asti Spumante and Muscat de Canelli to a dry wine like Muscat d'Alsace.

Red Zinfandel
Red Zinfandel is an "American Classic" wine. The color of a Zin is deep red, bordering on black. With predominant raspberry flavors and a spicy aroma, Zinfandels can be bold and intense as well as light and fruity. It is a spicy, peppery wine, with a hint of fruity flavor. Flavor such as cherry, wild berry and plum with notes of leather and earth are often the taste range. Zinfandel goes well with "typical American" food - pizza, burgers, etc. It's hearty enough to match up with thick red sauces.
|
Riesling
Perhaps the world's most misunderstood white grape variety, and in our estimation, the world's finest. This luscious, medium-sweet Riesling is crisp and refreshing, with a surprisingly fresh taste and clean finish. Sweeter than the Johannisberg, this wine is also a local favorite.

White Zinfandel
White Zinfandel is a pale-rosé, or blush wine (the American term for Rosé which refers to any light pink wine) that's very sweet. It is delicious with cream-based-sauce and pasta, with fish, pork, and other "lighter" meals. It tends to have light and citrus flavors - orange, vanilla, strawberry, raspberry, cherry. In addition, new White Zinfandels have fruit juices added to them right before bottling to create new flavored versions.
