Pinot Noir Nunes & Zephyr Vineyards - Sonoma Coast
This wine will evolve nicely from the long aging period in barrel, during which the delicate nuances of Pinot Noir developed beautifully. Our 2004 Pinot Noir will continue its evolution in bottle for the next 58 years, with the fruit and wood tannins continuing to meld into a silky texture. The rich, complex fruit character was enhanced by the warm late growing season, making this vintage particularly voluptuous but balanced nicely by naturally high acidity.

Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast
This wine will evolve nicely from the long aging period in barrel, during which the delicate nuances of Pinot Noir developed beautifully. Our 2004 Pinot Noir will continue its evolution in bottle for the next 5–8 years, with the fruit and wood tannins continuing to meld into a silky texture. The rich, complex fruit character was enhanced by the warm late growing season, making this vintage particularly voluptuous but balanced nicely by naturally high acidity.

Sauvignon Blanc Hummingbird Hill Vineyards
This is an ideal aperitif wine, balanced and complex, with fig, pear and tropical fruit flavors. Our 2006 Sauvignon Blanc will complement a myriad of food pairings including grilled fish and fresh seafood, particularly oysters, crab, and lobster, grilled chicken dishes and a wide range of cheeses. The inspiration for this wine comes in part from our admiration for New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs. The high acidity and low pH of these wines have found their way to Hummingbird Hill Vineyards and marry nicely with the lush fruit profile that is frequently found in Sauvignon Blancs from the Russian River. Our Sauvignon Blanc offers characteristics often found in one or the other but seldom in both.

Sonoma Coast Chardonnay
Chardonnay has, for me, always been about its food pairing qualities and our
2005 is a strong statement in that regard. This wine displays refreshing acidity
combined in great proportion with full extraction and richness that is complete on
the palate. The taste profile is evolving a crème brûlée richness in the framework
of a silky acid matrix. Fresh pear, mango and zesty lemon set the tone for fruit.
The aging potential for this wine is outstanding as all the elements of balance and
structure are in harmony.

Syrah Clary Ranch Vineyard & Hummingbird Hill Vineyards - Sonoma Coast
Each of these two vineyards gives characteristics to the final blend that synergistically meld into a complexity, depth, and richness that is unusual for Syrah. Hummingbird Hill fruit provides ripe blackberry flavor and a viscous mouth feel, while Clary fruit provides low pH (3.39), white pepper, a blueberry component and overall finesse. Elements of this wine remind us of the cold northern Rhtne region of France, yet it has a fullness and elegance that says California. This duplicity is what makes wines from the Sonoma Coast so unique.
