Valley Oaks is the place we call home. It¹s our own unspoiled corner of California¹s North Coast, and we go to great lengths to keep it that way. Like farming our vineyards organically. Because we believe that caring for the land results in more flavorful, better-tasting wines.

Five Rivers Ranch Pinot Noir
The majority of the Pinot Noir in this wine was grown at Bien Nacido Vineyard in Santa Maria - one of the area's best known and respected producers of Pinot Noir in the region. This vintage is medium ruby in color. The nose is full of dried cherry and earthy notes with a touch of black pepper spice. In the mouth, these aromas combine with rich cherry and raspberry flavors in a balanced, medium-weight wine with a medium-long finish. The grapes were cold soaked and partially whole berry fermented and was aged for nine months in small French oak barrels.

Valley Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon
"Cabernet Sauvignon grapes hang on the trellis long after the fall harvest begins. Patience is a duty, not a virtue, as we wait for the grapes to ripen. I’m reminded to slow down and wait for Nature to unlock her secrets. So I relax and enjoy this wine full of black cherry flavors, a hint of chocolate and aromas of vanilla and spice. Patience is truly rewarded."

Valley Oaks Chardonnay
"With each new vintage, I recall why I enjoy making wine. Starting fresh each spring energizes me. My sense of personal renewal shows in our popular Chardonnay. This is a wine with a medium body, full of easy-to-drink flavors of apple, pear and tropical fruits. So when the day is done, I like to relax and refresh with good friends. Our Chardonnay is always invited."

Valley Oaks Gewürztraminer
"It’s often called gavurtz because it’s hard to say, and even harder to spell. This wine, though, is a secret weapon, great for taming spicy foods or sipping on its own. Enjoy the honeyed apricot and peach flavors in the glass, and breathe deeply to capture the aromas of rose petals and honeysuckle. Lots of people love this wine, even if they’ll never spell it. Just ask for gavurtz. We’ll know what you mean."

Valley Oaks Merlot
"There’s a sense of pride that comes from making wine in a place with a rich history. I think our Mendocino roots show in every glass of our Merlot. It has an easy, approachable style with aromas of ripe plums and flavors of blackberry and cherry. This wine goes great with just about any meal, making it a good choice to have on hand for every day. (That’s what I do.)"

Valley Oaks Pinot Grigio
"The secret is out about Pinot Grigio. Loved in Europe (and known by other names like Pinot Gris), this is a versatile wine that goes well with a wide variety of foods and moods. We craft our wine to showcase a refreshing basket of flavors like apple, pink grapefruit and lime sorbet. There’s even a bouquet of wildflower aromas in every glass. No wonder the secret’s been spilled."

Valley Oaks Riesling
"Riesling comes in many styles, and is popular enough that some call it the new Chardonnay. We just call it good. Our personal style blends fruit from cooler areas of California to create a wine both rich and floral, pale yellow in color with aromas of pear and apricot. In the glass, you’ll taste peaches and apricots, a gracious invitation to sit a spell and enjoy with friends."

Valley Oaks Sauvignon Blanc
I’m a grape-friendly winemaker. Rather than push, I persuade. Our Sauvignon Blanc is a wine that calls for a soft hand to capture the crisp, clean flavors of lemon, green apple and mint making this a popular, food-friendly wine. With its balance of refreshing flavors and smooth taste, this is a great wine to start the end of your day."

Valley Oaks Shiraz
"I think of Shiraz as a grown-up Merlot. It’s familiar and different at the same time, a fearless choice when you’re ready for something new. From the deep purple color to aromas of white pepper, plum, blackberry and licorice, you get a sense of adventure. Our Shiraz (others call it Syrah) is medium-heavy, with a lingering finish that is very satisfying. It’s a wine well worth exploring."

Valley Oaks Syrah Rosé
"In many parts of the world, a Dry Rosé is just the thing for a hot summer day. It’s also common for vacations to stretch for weeks. I think they’re on to something. Our Syrah Rosé is dry (not so sweet) and tastes like a glass of summer-ripe raspberries. It’s crisp and delicate, with fruity aromas. Have a sip and start imagining your own overseas vacation."

Valley Oaks White Zinfandel
"If ever a wine was meant to bring a smile, it’s White Zin. From the coral pink color to the aromas of strawberries and cherries that leap from the bottle as soon as the cork is pulled, our White Zin is intent on making friends. Sure, it can be a refreshing summer sipper. But take my advice. Drink what you like, when you like it. That’s the rule at my house."

Valley Oaks Zinfandel
"People who love Zin are as complex as the wine. That’s a good thing. On the North Coast, we’ve learned from our Italian forefathers to craft Zins with a deep ruby color and concentrated aromas of black pepper and spice, balanced with an intensity that fills your mouth with wonderful dark berry flavors. It’s a rich, soft wine when you drink it. Zinfully delicious anytime, and especially wonderful when barbecuing or grilling."
