Carmel Road's mission is to produce Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from the unique nature of Monterey County terrior. We are dedicated to demonstrating Monterey County's ability to create distinct, well-structured and harmonious wines of the highest caliber.
Located just a few miles over the ridges from the Pacific Ocean, we source fruit from three remarkable vineyard sites in Arroyo Seco, Santa Lucia Highlands and the Gabilan Mountain Range, applying a rigorous program of sustainable, precision farming. The fruit emerges in wines exhibiting both a studied elegance and superb richness.

Carmel Road Arroyo Seco Chardonnay
"Low rainfall, winds and cool temperatures provide the optimal growing conditions for Chardonnay. Berry size was small in 2002, yielding well structured and richly flavored wines. One can taste and smell the typical Arroyo Seco minerality as well as citrus, orange blossom and honeydew." - Ivan Giotenov, Winemaker

Carmel Road Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir
"This is a year with great potential. Slow and even fruit ripening coupled with low harvest yields produced wines with excellent acidity and balance. Tannins are soft but firm hinting at superb aging potential. Flavors are incredibly rich and concentrated - blackberry and raspberry dominate followed by hints of cranberry and wild strawberry." - Ivan Giotenov, Winemaker
