Baco Noir
Young and Fruity sums up the nose on the 09’ Baco. The palate is a bit more structured then previous vintages with moderate tannins and back bone of acidity. Although it is very drinkable right now its aging potential is very promising.
|
Cabernet Franc
Light yet structured our ’09 Cab Franc brings a bouquet of ripe raspberry and subtle strawberry to the nose. A combination of dry tannins and soft acidity helps create a long and flavorful finish.
|
Catawba
This native variety is brimming with candied grapefruit and apricots. Sweet, yet crisp, this wine is easy drinking and a perfect companion to bring along to a party.
|
Estate Cabernet Franc
The first full fruiting of our Ridge Road Vineyard. This wine was fermented in a single stainless steel tank. The color is light and not as brilliant as the nose or pallet suggest. The nose is full of bright raspberry, eucalyptus, cedar and light barrel spice. The pallet is soft and seamlessly blends the raspberry and spice from the nose with subtle cherry and vanilla undertones. The tannins are supple and are balanced by the wines lingering acidity.
|
Estate Seyval Blanc
Sourced from our Ridge Road estate vineyard in Marlboro, this 2010 vintage is the first completed harvest from this young vineyard. The wine brings fresh notes of crisp apple and melon on the nose and palate with a soft yet crisp finish.
|
Merlot
With a warm nose of cherry, vanilla and a hint of earthiness, this well vintage is a classic. Well balanced and approachable, our ’09 Merlot is a great all around dinner wine.
|
Reserve Chardonnay
The nose is dominated by pineapple and pear with undertones of vanilla. Medium bodied, on the pallet the pineapple and tropical notes shine through with fresh butter and a bit of acidity through the finish.
|
Riesling
This semi-sweet Riesling starts off with notes of lime and orange blossom on the nose. The palate is full of crisp green
apple, citrus and pineapple undertones. Light to medium bodied with a soft, clean finish.
|
Slate Hill Red
Velvety notes of plum, raspberry and cherry dominate this wine from start to finish. This Bordeaux Blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot and Malbec showcases the versatility of New York grapes. This wine pairs well with red meats, eggplant, tomato based pastas and pizza.
|
Slate Hill White
With 65% Chardonnay, 30% Riesling, and 5% Traminette, this vintage shows with peach, pineapple, and tropical fruits on the nose. A lean pear dominates the palate.
|
Syrah
Full bodied with dark chocolate undertones and hints of leather and smoke. It takes on characteristics of blackberries
and dark cherries and ends with a bold finish.
|
Zinfandel
Garnet in color this jammy Zin starts out with notes of sweet fig and plum. The palate is rich with hints of cocoa, toasted marshmallows and dried fruits that linger in its long, warm finish.
