Nestled on a property graced by vines planted 23 years ago, we are a family owned and veteran-owned and operated establishment. The name is derived from our two sons, Joey and Logan Ray, who are the sons of JW and Kristen Ray, hence the name “Rayson”. Our journey is rooted in a commitment to crafting wines that not only reflect the distinct terroir of our unique location but also celebrate the individual varietal characteristics of our grapes. At Rayson Winery and Vineyards, we believe in the art of winemaking as an expression of tradition, passion, and innovation. Barrel Chardonnay
An elegant style, with subtle fig, melon, ripe pear and toasty oak flavors, finishing with a creamy buttery aftertaste. Serve slightly chilled with seafood or fowl.

Cabernet Franc
French Bordeaux variety with lots of rich extracted spicy black currant and wild cherry aromas and flavors. French barrel aging adds elegance with a hint of cedar and oak in the finish.

Carolinius
French Bordeaux varieties selected in this harmonious blend include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The flavors are generous and focused which glide smoothly through the silky finish.

Category 5
The intensity of hurricanes in the Carolinas reflects the power and structure of this premium RayLen wine. Primarily vinted from Cabernet Sauvignon, with blending of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Syrah, this ripe and intense Cabernet blend steps up to a Category 5.

Chardonnay
RayLen Vineyards captures the fresh medium bodied characteristics of Chardonnay by utilizing slow cool fermentation. Aging is carefully monitored to achieve a balanced flavor of creamy pear, citrus and melon flavors.

Merlot
RayLen's Merlot has a solid center core of blackberry and cassis. This Merlot intrigues the palate with rich soft textures and a spicy finish. French oak aging concentrates the flavors and softens the tannins.

Pale Red
A fresh, bright and lively fruity red wine offering hints of strawberry and sweet cherry flavors. Serve chilled with cheese and fruit or other light foods.

Pinot Grigio
An Italian white wine grape with fresh creamy, zesty grapefruit and peach aromas and flavors, with a crisp and clean finish. Great with salads and lighter entress.

Shiraz
Shiraz exhibits the rich aromas and flavors of fresh fruit, leading the way to a well rounded core. The soft tannins are ripe and firm accentuating the lingering finish. This beautiful fruit expression can be enjoyed at any occasion.

South Mountain Vineyard Chardonnay
Formerly called Silver Creek Vineyards, this prime mountain location offers warm days and cool nights to ripen Chardonnay to perfection. The wine is 100% barrel fermented in French oak to accentuate it's richness. The creamy, buttery, green apple aromas are delightfully followed by a soft vanilla and oak flavor.

Viognier
Viognier (pronounced Vee-oh-nyay) is a rare French Rhone grape - full and spicy with layers of peach and apricot flavors. French barrel aging enhances the richness.

Yadkin Gold
This exquisite RayLen wine is a blend of Chardonnay. Viognier, Pinot Grigio and Riesling. The Yadkin Valley offers excellent growing conditions for these European grapes. The wine is off dry and complex with a wide range of flavors including pineapple, fig and honeydew melon.
