Carlson Vineyards 2000 Cougar Run Merlot/Shiraz is a dry full flavored red wine made of a blend of Colorado grown Merlot (80%) and Shiraz (20%) grapes. This Merlot/Shiraz has aromas of strawberry jam, blackberry, anise, and light smoke. The flavors are reminiscent of berries, black licorice and vanilla, with a firm mouth feel, full tannins and great finish.
