Sanctuary Vineyards
|
|
Our vineyards are greeted by brilliant sunrises and kissed by ocean breezes. Placid spring conditions and violent summer hurricanes both nurture and threaten these grapes. Here in beautiful coastal Currituck, wildlife migrate back each year to find comfort and safety. Now winemaking has found a sanctuary here as well. Situated next to the landmark Cotton Gin store and surrounded by picturesque Deep Creek Farm and its expansive cotton fields, Sanctuary Vineyards and our future winery are the newest addition to an exciting country destination close to both the Outer Banks and Hampton Roads. Visitors can view 3 acres of vineyards planted to Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Norton, Traminette and Chardonelle grapes. Sanctuary is now developing a tasting room located inside the Cotton Gin, where customers can learn about our new developments, winemaking processes and, most importantly, experience the taste of amazing local wines. We are now selling wine produced by Moonrise Bay Winery, an excellent wine destination located on nearby Knotts Island. So please come for a visit. You’ll find excellent opportunities for shopping and tasting fine wines crafted here in coastal Carolina. Quality winemaking has found sanctuary here in Currituck and we hope that you can, too.
