Rebec Vineyards
|
|
We are conveniently located right off Hwy 29, north of the town of Amherst. The vineyard is planted on land that is gently rolling with an expansive view of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. The winery of rich weathered chestnut siding completes this tranquil setting in Amherst County, Virginia. In 1980, Richard planted the eight acres of noble vitis vinifera grapes. By 1987, Rebec Vineyards began selling under the Rebec label. Now, sixteen years later, thirteen wines are marketed via winery visits, festivals, and a number of retail establishments. Visitors are encouraged to learn more about the art of winemaking through tours and wine tasting here at Rebec. The tours are free.
