Beans Creek Winery

Founded in 2003, Beans Creek Winery was formed by Tom and Becky Brown and a group of Tennessee wine growers. The winery is located in the heart of middle Tennessee at I-24 (Exit 111) and Highway 55 in Manchester. We are open Monday - Saturday from 10a.m. to 6p.m. and Sunday from 1p.m. - 5p.m. Wines offered range from dry full-bodied reds through sweet whites and fruit wines. Beans Creek Winery began as a dream no larger than a grape. Tom Brown made his first wine in 1976 in his mother's kitchen with childhood friends Joe and Dan Lasater. Tom has spent 27 years perfecting our award winning wine style using grapes and fruit that grow well in Tennessee. In 2003 with the help and support of other winegrowing families, our dream became a reality. Our member vineyards are located in Coffee, Warren, and Williamson counties of Middle Tennessee. We purchased grapes from growers in Sumner, Robertson, Sequatchie, Loudon, and Sullivan counties of Tennessee.

Directions
The winery is located in the heart of middle Tennessee at exit 111 of I-24 in Manchester. (This is between Nashville and Chattanooga.) The winery is clearly visible from the Interstate.

Chambourcin
A medium-bodied, dry red wine that may be paired with pizza, hamburgers, hearty roast beef, or a steak.

Cynthiana
A versatile, full-bodied, dry red. We enjoy it with steak and spicy pork. This Cynthiana wine was grown in Robertson County, Tennessee.

Gewurztraminer
This off-dry wine is crisp and fruity with hints of spice. It pairs well with barbecued pork or chicken or with fruit and cheese.

Merlot
A full-bodied, dry red wine from the famed Merlot grape. May be paired with any red meat or sharp cheese and goes well with chocolate.

Mountain Red
A semi-sweet red wine crafted from American Concord grapes. It pairs well with spicy dishes, fruit and cheese, or spaghetti.

Nana's White
A sweet cellar blend of Cayuga, Vidal and Niagara grapes. It is a great sipping wine or may be paired with fruit and cheese. This wine was grown in Marion and Robertson Counties of Tennessee.

Niagara
This sweet American wine from the Niagara grape makes a delightful sipping wine or couples well with light fruit and cheese.

Red Muscadine
A sweet wine from the native Southern Muscadine. Called the "song of the south" by admirers, this wine goes well with fruit plates, light meals or alone for simple sipping.

Stone Fort White
An off-dry cellar blend of Vidal and Cayuga, that pairs well with light picnic fare, chicken, pork and fish dishes.

Syrah
A full-bodied, dry red wine. We suggest pairing this wine with most red meats and spicy dishes.

Norton Wine Review: Last stop of the evening was at Beans Creek Winery. Beans Creek Winery offers 32 different grape and fruit wines. What a hoot. A good instance of trying any and everything imaginable and finding yourself scrambling to find bottles with any real appeal. I picked up a bottle of ‘Tennessee Chambourcin Reserve’ and ‘Tennessee Cynthiana’ just as a sincere venture to finding a Tennessee wine memory. Now for my wife's thoughts on BCW's Norton wine: "I found this Norton an acceptable table wine. No exceptional Norton wine character, but during last night’s Super Bowl we had this wine accompanying shrimp & grits and a bowl of spicy chicken with a more accepting comment from my New Orlean’s Saint fan-for-the-evening. If you are in the Manchester, TN area, you might want to try Beans Creek Winery’s Norton wine as a dry table wine alternative." O.K., for family harmony, I selected her 3 star rating.
