Bill and Ann Heidig established Oak Hill Vineyard in 1983 and opened Lake Anna Winery in 1990 in an area surrounded by history. Spotsylvania County and Fredericksburg played pivotal roles in American history from colonial times. Chancellorsville WiIderness, Spotsylvania Courthouse, and Fredericksburg Civil War Battlefields are within an hours drive of the winery. Lake Anna State Park with its beaches, is only 3 miles from the winery. A picnic area by the vineyard is available for your enjoyment. Tour the winery, sample award-winning wines, and relax in a country setting. Hours: WED - SAT / 11 AM to 5 PM, SUN / 1 PM to 7 PM.

Directions
From Washington: South on 1-95 to the Thornburg Exit. West on Rt. 606 to Snell. Cross intersection at Snell, Road becomes Rt. 208 (Courthouse Rd). Continue on Rt. 208, turn left at Post Oak. Go 7 miles to winery. Entrance is on the left. From Culpeper: Rt. 3 East towards Fredericksburg. Immediately turn right on Rt. 522. Follow Rt. 522, turn left on Rt. 208. Winery entrance will be on the right about 3 miles east of Lake Anna. From Fredericksburg: Take Rt. 1 bypass south to Four Mile Fork. Turn right on Rt. 208 (Courthouse Rd ). Continue on Rt. 208, turn left at Spotsylvania Courthouse, turn right at Snell and left at Post Oak. Go 7 miles to Winery. Entrance is on the left.
