Jowler Creek Winery
|
|
Jowler Creek is a boutique vineyard and winery nestled amongst nature in the hills just north of Kansas City, Missouri. In fact, we’re right alongside the historic Jowler Creek. While our wines are currently in hibernation, they’ll come out of their wine cave and start migrating into local wine stores and restaurants, as well as this Web site, starting in the fall of 2007.
To make sure you’re one of the first to get your paws on one of our first bottles of our scarce species of wine, be sure and check out the “Creek Club” section of the site.

Jowler Creek Late-Harvest Vignoles
This wine just shows being the smallest in the pack isn’t always a bad thing. This split bottle (375 ml) is made from Vignoles grapes harvested late in the season to emphasize the grape’s exotic honey, tropical fruit, and mineral notes. Enjoy with fruity desserts or pastries, or take a little nip after dinner.

Jowler Creek Norton
If you’re looking for a high-quality, dry, full-bodied red wine you only thought you could find in California or France, here’s the wine for you. In fact, it’s even been nicknamed “The Syrah of the Ozarks.” The Jowler Creek Norton is carefully crafted from our estate grown grapes and its rich, bold cherry fruit and sweet oak characteristics make it the perfect mate with spicy Kansas City barbecue dishes, smoked meats, and other hearty Midwestern dishes.

Jowler Creek Norton Port
This blend of Norton grapes and premium Midwestern brandy will keep you warm and toasty as you curl up by the fire in your cave on a cool Fall night or mid-winter day. Scents of blackberries, plums, and chocolate will fill your nose. It begs to be drunk with chocolate desserts, nuts, or cheese with a little bite.

Jowler Creek Vignoles
Vignoles (pronounced vee-knoll) is quickly becoming an endangered species…everyone wants to get their hands on a bottle! This wine is rather exotic and loaded with flavors of peach, strawberry, apricot, pineapple, and honey. Yet it’s light, crisp and refreshing. It’s the perfect mate to a light lunch out on the back deck, or a hot and spicy supper.
