Opened in August of 2001, the Eagle’s Nest Winery is continuing expansion to fill the four, side by side, historic buildings. Positioned in historic downtown Louisiana, MO and 1 ½ blocks from the river, the buildings of the winery were built in 1880 as the Mercantile National Bank of Louisiana. The winery serves six different wines and hosts live entertainment on New Year’s Eve and Mardis Gras, as well as through out the year. The fine dining restaurant of Eagle’s Nest Winery serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and the cuisine reflects a French and Italian influence. The winery is staffed to hold and cater small meetings of 50 people or less in the restaurant. Currently the winery has three Bed & Breakfast rooms open with whirlpool tubs and a wine selection in each room, as well as a hot tub for guest use. In the Fall of 2003, the winery plans to have a wine garden completed and open, and a total of 14 Bed & Breakfast rooms available.
