Parducci Wine Cellars
|
|
Established in 1932, Parducci Wine Cellars is the oldest winery in Mendocino County, California’s northernmost premium winegrowing region. Located two hours north of San Francisco in the hills above the Ukiah Valley, the winery estate exudes an old world charm and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. Visitors to the tasting room and gift shop (open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily), which are housed in a building resembling an Italian villa, enjoy complimentary tasting of Parducci’s award-winning wines at a cozy tasting bar. Guests can also picnic on a cobblestoned outdoor patio, which boasts a beautiful view of the surrounding vineyards. Tours of the winery are available by appointment.

Coro Mendocino
Coro means chorus in Italian and Spanish and is reflective of the spirit of this project - many voices singing the same song. Parducci's 2004 rendition is brilliant, dark ruby in color. Jammy, mouth-watering aromas are accented by a note of anise. Concentrated flavors of blackberries and briar fill the mouth. Cellar for years to come or enjoy today with full-flavored foods such as grass-fed beef filet, duck breast with grilled peaches or eggplant-goat cheese gratin. 60% Zinfandel, 25% Syrah, 15% Petite Sirah;

Kick Ass Red
This blended red wine, Kick Ass Red, is the top of the line bottling for the Mike Ditka brands. It is a brilliant, concentrated dry red wine with luscious aromas and flavors of jammy wild blackberry. It has a lingering finish of freshly ground black pepper and toasty vanilla. Worthy of cellar aging, this wine is delicious now with fine beef, wild game and artisan cheeses.

Mike Ditka Chardonnay
Attitude means a clear, direct approach or stance. Clear, true-to-type varietal character is a hallmark of my wines. Character is integrity and appeal, that extra zing that makes this wine stand out from the pack. And how can a wine have Enthusiasm? By being ready to go, any time, any place. Open this bottle and see for yourself.
Rich and dry, my 2005 Mendocino County Chardonnay has aromas and flavors of juicy ripe apple, green melon and citrus. Light complexities of oaky vanilla linger in the zesty lemon-lime finish. Enjoy this fine white wine with salmon, roast chicken, white sauced pastas and creamy soups.
|
Parducci Bianco
The perfect everyday white wine to have on hand. Apple, lemon and ripe pear aromas brim the glass and the flavors echo this fruity richness: more green apple coupled with a smoky clove spice. Easy to enjoy, easy to pair with, try Bianco with chicken salad or a cheese plate.
|
Parducci Cabernet Sauvignon
Here is a brilliant, ruby-red wine with aromas of black plum, cassis with sweet herb, vanilla and cocoa notes. Round and smooth on the palate, this medium-bodied Caberenet Sauvignon complements chicken in rosemary-tomato sauce, grilled pork chops and creamy polenta with squash and chard.
|
Parducci Chardonnay
The Parducci Chardonnay showcases ripe fruit character, with a hint of oak complexity. We believe that no one component should dominate, and that the key to great Chardonnay is balance. Ever stylish, it is lovely paired with fettuccine alfredo, caeser salad or salmon.

Parducci Grenache
|
Parducci Merlot
Our 2005 Merlot boasts a complex aroma of sweet black cherries and plums mingled with leafy mint tea and intriguing hints of miso and tamari. On the palate, the wine's medium-bodied flavors key on cherries, with a pronounced tea-leaf spiciness adding savor and zest. This tasty, fruitful Merlot is a fine match with herb-roasted chicken with plum sauce, grilled beef on a bed of arugula with shaved parabana or try smokey turkey chili.

Parducci Pinot Grigio
Pick Parducci Pinot Grigio for its enticing bouquet of pear, white peach and orange blossom; its richly textured flavors of peach and tropical fruits. Parducci Pinot Noir
Elegant, fresh-fruit flavors enlivened by zesty baking spice. Great partnered with wild mushroom gnocchi and butternut squash, baked ham, grilled salmon, and aromatic cheeses.
|
Parducci Rosso
Though Parducci was the first Mendocino County winery to bottle varietal wines, the family could still appreciate the full-flavored simplicity of red table blends. The flavors in the 2004 Rosso show why: tastes of rich, bright cherry and ripe berry are accented by earthy, herbal undertones. The mouthfeel is supple, the finish is soft. Place this wine on the table alongside spaghetti and meatballs, a mixed grill or your favorite takeout meal.
|
Parducci Sauvignon Blanc
Our 2006 Sauvignon Blanc offers bright aromas of sweet lemons, pineapple and ripe honeydew melon, with hints of banana and other tropical fruits. The wine's rich, mouthfilling, citrus and melon flavors are zesty and long on the palate, culminating in a refreshing, mineral-y finish. A great match with delicate seafood, herb roasted chicken or mom's mac & cheese.

Parducci Zinfandel
If we had only two words to describe our Zinfandel, we'd say flavorful and versatile. If you allow us a few more, we'll tell you that it's a full-bodied, fruit-forward wine you can enjoy with everything from take-out to formal seven-course meals!
|
True Grit
We've been making Petite Sirah since the 1940s. This one is special. Heady aromas of ripe fruit, white pepper and vanilla followed by an intense rush of fresh blackberry, dark chocolate, pepper and caramel flavors. True Grit is a natural with seared steak, sausage, grilled pork loin and smoked meats. It is a revelation with more adventurous preparations: shrimp with black pepper pasta, cold lamb salad, salmon with raspberry sauce.

Vintage White
Our Vintage White typically blends two of the world’s finest white grape varieties –Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc - from two of California’s leading wine regions – Mendocino and Lake County. The result of this marriage of grape varieties and wine regions is a delicious white table wine that beautifully accompanies a wide range of dishes. It offers a pleasingly complex aroma of ripe citrus, melon and apple fruit with a hint of the herbal spice tone characteristic of the Sauvignon Blanc grape. On the palate, the wine is round and viscous, with rich, slightly creamy, melon and apple flavors which segue into a long finish revealing the spicy flavors of the Sauvignon Blanc. This flavorful white wine is a versatile match with many vegetarian, seafood and poultry dishes, including fettucine alfredo, crab cakes, broiled swordfish and roast chicken.
