Nestled behind the pines on 16 acres…that’s where you’ll find Bullitt County’s first commercial vineyard. What you see today is nothing from where we first began. The year was 1996 and we started with just 53 vines and a passion for winemaking. Two years later we planted our first acre and just kept expanding until we reached 2.5 acres in 2002. Our biggest step, thanks to encouragement from family and friends, was taking the leap from amateur winemaking. That’s when, in 2006, we converted our existing barn into a winery. Today, we have completed construction on a new tasting room where our wines are sure to tempt your taste buds. We welcome you to come see for yourself how our passion and strive for excellence has made Wight-Meyer Vineyards grow into a premiere winery offering award-winning Kentucky wines.

Directions
Take I-65 to Exit 116~Hwy. 480 East. Drive approximately 4.5 miles and turn left at Pine Creek Subdivision on to Pine Creek Trail. Follow Pine Creek Trail 1 mile. Turn right on to Meyer Drive. Follow Meyer Drive until ends at Wight-Meyer Vineyards.

Derby Zinfandel
Tones of tart blackberry and strawberry. Aged 17 months.

Heritage Hill Red
A blend of Merlot and Shiraz with nice tones of oak and fruit.

Kentucky Concord
Kentucky grown concord. Great concord flavor. Sweetened to 6% residual sugar.

Kentucky Norton
Kentucky grown, barrel aged 12 months. Hints of cherries, strawberries, and tones of vanilla.

Norton Wine Review: After traversing the Kentucky back roads, we found Wight-Meyer Vineyard with their “green” young Norton wine. This was a winery with displayed awards for fourteen of their wines, but not for their Norton. Our time was not lost since we at least left with two bottles of their nice Kentucky Vingoles and a local habanera-apricot jam.
