Narmada Winery’s 2009 Cabernet Franc wine is a dry red wine made from 80% Cabernet Franc grapes and 20% Tannat grapes. Aged in oak, the 2009 Cabernet Franc is made from the “predominant” red grape of Virginia that is well-suited to the soil and climate of our area. This medium-bodied wine is highlighted by black cherry and raspberry fruits on the palate and essences of violets on the nose.

Narmada Winery’s 2009 Chardonnay is a dry wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. Fermented and aged in French Oak for nine (9) months, it has just the right amount of oak and texture. Partial malolactic fermentation provides a balance between the roundness of the oak and crispness of the fruit. The green apple and pear flavors come through on the palate along with aromas of vanilla.

Narmada Winery’s Melange wine is a clever “left bank” blend of 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Tannat with a true Bordeaux feel. Melange wine has a silky texture and supple tannins that fill your mouth with black raspberry, cassis and cranberry flavors and is complemented with cigar box aromas.

Narmada Winery’s 2009 Mom wine is an off-dry white wine with 1.5% sugar content made from a blend of Vidal Blanc and Chardonel grapes. “Mom” is a tribute to Narmada Winery’s owner’s mother, and to all moms who have selflessly sacrificed on behalf of and to provide for their children. Chardonel, which is a French-American hybrid grape, is blended with Vidal Blanc grown on the Narmada estate.
