Boordy Vineyards

The oldest of Maryland's wineries, Boordy Vineyards is nestled in the Long Green valley of northeastern Baltimore County. Fine wines, champagne, and port are crafted in a historic 19th-century fieldstone barn. Special events are held throughout the year, including intimate tastings in the cellars, summer evening dance concerts, and open air festivals. Boordy's bucolic setting and old world charm allow you to forget that you're only a half-hour from downtown Baltimore. The Wineshop is open Monday through Saturday 10am to 5pm and Sunday 1pm to 5pm.

Directions
FROM THE WEST on 695, take exit 29 (Cromwell Bridge Rd.) and go left 2.9 mi. Bear sharp left over bridge onto Glen Arm Rd. Continue 3.2 mi. to stop. Turn left onto Long Green Pike and follow 2 mi. to Boordy's entrance on left. FROM THE EAST ON 695, take exit 31 North (Rt. 147 Carney) and go 4 mi. to Long Green Pike. Turn left and go 1.5 mi. to 4-way stop. Continue straight on Long Green Pike for 2 mi. to Boordy's entrance on left. FROM THE NORTH ON I-95, take Exit 74 West (Rt. 152 Mountain Rd.) to Rt. 147 (Harford Rd.) and drive south 3.1 mi. to stoplight in Fork. Turn right onto Fork Rd. Continue 2.6 mi. to stop in Baldwin. Turn left onto Long Green Pike and follow 1.3 mi. to Boordy's entrance on right.

This full bodied Cabernet is grown in our South Mountain Vineyards in Maryland's Blue Ridge. Aromas of chocolate, mint, and pepper harmonized with the overtones of maturation in American oak. Will cellar for some years to come, and can be enjoyed with a variety of red meats and rich foods.

2005 Governor's Cup Gold Medal. A lusciously sweet medium bodied ruby port with aromas of plum and chocolate. Aged two years in barrel.

Just got back from the Mason Dixon wine trail event and Boordy blew me away--not only were the wines great--we tasted the landmark wines and reserve wines but the vineyard is beautiful..my new favoirte winery to visit
