Amore
A Labrusco wine, filled with the robust berry that has made it famous throughout the East coast. This sweet red has a distinct Concord flavor without the strong foxy character associated with that varietal.
|
Amore White
Vibrant floral notes open this sweet, light wine. The well balanced acidity allows the ripe, juicy fruit and the white flower flavors to be expressed with grace.
|
Bianca
An off dry white wine, grown on the Lover's Leap estate. White berries and hints of floral notes lends to the citrus fruit. The subtle sugars fatten the mouth and balance the crisp finish.
|
Blackberry (Dessert Wine)
Rich and expressive, filled with the sweet intensity of ripe fruit. Layered in blackberry, cherry and raspberry. Bottled in 500 mL imported glass, bar top closer.
|
Cabernet Sauvignon
Vibrant cherry, layered with blueberry fills the palette. Hints of mint add to the complexity. Tones of French oak highlight this fleshy wine. The soft tannins make this wine easy for all to enjoy
|
Cabernet Sauvignon
After a summer of blistering heat and with no rain, the 2 acres of estate Cabernet Sauvignon was harvested on an overcast day. Starting before the sun rose on September the 23rd, the fruit was hand picked and immediately taken to the crush pad. To other growers harvesting fruit at 240 brix is unthinkable. At Lover's Leap it is the rule. We constantly worked the vines so we could have perfectly ripe fruit.
Garnet color with generous tannins, the ripe cherry and black currant fill the palette. Soft oak polishes the firm structure and red berry finish an amazing wine.
|
Chardonnay
In the 2002 Chardonnay you can see the effects of Kentucky's hot dry summer. Ripe apple is the dominate character, with hint of melon. Layers of vanilla from the barrel fermentation fill the mid palette. Plump mouth feel, and rounded acids lend to a clean lengthy finish.

Cuvee Blanc
This handcrafted Extra Dry sparkling wine will be sure to delight any palate. We hope you are as excited about the upcoming release as we are.

Cynthiana
Harvested on October the 3rd, the fruit was 20% dehydrated. The press yields were very low, but the three acres still yielded an amazing 9 tons. Dense, jammy, yet this wine hasn't closed off. Aged in a combination of 70% French oak and 30% American this Cynthiana has developed a range of depth. Spicy with red berry fruit, this wine is similar to the red Zinfandels that make "winies" gluttonous.
|
Cynthiana (Norton)
A rose by any other name A.K.A Norton, a true American Grape. Kentucky Estate grown right here and developed in 100% French Oak barrels. Richly distinctive with jammy flavors of fig, currant, pepper and spice to create a rich red of Bluegrass pedigree
|
Desired
This medium bodied wine is easily approachable. It's bright cherry, raspberry, and violets are layered with hints of oak. While the soft fine grain tannin gives structure without being astringent.
|
Merlot
Aged 100% in French oak, this Merlot is plummy with layers of ripe red berries. Vanillins from the French oak polish the fine grain tannins. A soft Merlot that can be aged or be drank at release.
|
Premiera
A beautiful blush wine, filled with white flowers and ripe strawberry. The residual sugars are well balanced with the acidity to finish clean and fresh.
|
Riesling
A long cold fermentation was used to highlight the varietal characteristics of this Riesling. Apricot, melon, and hints of lemon grass fill the palette. The residual sugars balance the wine which finishes clean and crisp with hints of spice.

Norton Wine Review: We literally “rolled” through the countryside to Lover’s Leap Vineyard and with a namesake like that, we braced ourselves for the encounter. Well, here came the surprise of the day, a host that not only knew something about grapes and wine production, but honestly was in love with and proud of their products. The family had just bought one year ago the entire vineyard wine production facility and already wanted to make a distinction between wines past and wines current. Kentucky will have a bright wine future with such efforts as being put forth by Lover’s Leap Vineyards. Not only did we slip effortlessly into their Vidal Blanc, but found their current Cynthiana (Norton) wine, a product of only one year’s work with grapes collected two years ago, a pleasant surprise which will hopefully mature nicely in the bottle over the next couple years. A soft, easy to taste Norton wine which made us smile with the realization that there is someone serious about wine production in Kentucky. We are glad we made the effort to wander the back roads of Kentucky to find this picturesque country farm setting.
