Description: Tannat, a noble grape originally known for making big tannic wines of the Madiran in southwest France, produces this rich, full-bodied red wine, with a strong tannic backbone, leathery fruit flavors, and a long spicy finish. This wine will age beautifully for 7-10 years.

Tannat:
Deeply colored and tannic minor grape grown in the Pyrenees region of France. One of four grapes whose wine is blended to make the full-bodied red wine known as "Madiran". The others are Bouchy, Courbu and Pinenc.
