Description:
Fruit for this release was grown in the cool Russian River Valley, where fog moderates temperatures throughout the season, a significant benefit during the July heat spike of 2006. In the glass, the wine is a delicate pale straw hue with silver highlights. Aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry and honeysuckle set off appealing notes of fig and vanilla. On the palate, the wine is notably crisp, with distinct citrus and mineral tones over round texture that lingers on the palate. A lovely aperitif, the Reserve Fumé Blanc also pairs well with more delicately flavored dishes of fall. Just 400 cases were produced.
