Robert Mondavi pioneered barrel aged Fume Blanc, and still makes one of the best there is. Vibrant notes of citrus, pineapple, flowers, minerals and lemon grass in our Napa Valley FumÉ Blanc. Barrel-fermentation and gentle stirring during aging in French oak barrels enhanced the elegant texture and lingering, spicy finish. Sip this refreshing wine as an aperitif or with a variety of delicate or spicy foods. Our associate winemaker, Richard Sowalsky, especially likes this FumÉ Blanc with garlic-infused dishes, such as fettuccini with rock shrimp and garlic, or Tuscan roast chicken with garlic, lemon and herbs.
