Chambourcin

Chambourcin Wine Details
Price: $16.95 per bottle

Description: This special red wine was produced in a small quantity. After harvesting, the alcoholic fermentation was made in bins and aged for six to eight months in neutral barrels that give the wine more structure but minimal oak flavor. The nose is very fruity and fresh with blackcurrant, blueberry and blackberry notes. In mouth, the structure is very pleasant with an explosion of red fruits aromas.

Varietal Definition
Chambourcin:
A french-american hybrid used to make red wines with fruity flavors and some herbaceousness. Grown in the cooler regions of Eastern U.S. and Canada. Decreasing acreages also found in Europe; due to stringent European Union rules these varieties cannot be blended with traditional varieties.
