Toad-A-Lope Red

Toad-A-Lope Red Wine Details
Price: $13.95 per bottle

Description: Toad-A-Lope Red is a custom-blended semi-sweet red wine. It is a great wine to enjoy with family and friends on the patio or on picnics. It pairs well with delicate fish, poultry, grilled chicken salads, strawberries and blueberries. Enjoy! The name "Toad-A-Lope" refers to land located north of the Platte River in Smithville, Mo., which includes the Ladoga Ridge site. It is believed a local resident, back in the early 1900s, named the area and it stuck with the community for a number of decades thereafter. People living in the portion of Smithville were referred to as "Toad-A-Lopers." Although not confirmed, some believe the meaning of "Toad-A-Lope" is an Indian term meaning "Heaven."
