Chambourcin Wine Details
Price:

Description: While its parentage is a mystery, the recent popularity of the Chambourcin grape is as clear as the sunny mountain valley sky. This adaptable French hybrid yields large clusters of deep red grapes in the cool mountain climate, and produces a medium-bodied wine with berry aromas and a rich purple color.

Varietal Definition
Chambourcin:
A french-american hybrid used to make red wines with fruity flavors and some herbaceousness. Grown in the cooler regions of Eastern U.S. and Canada. Decreasing acreages also found in Europe; due to stringent European Union rules these varieties cannot be blended with traditional varieties.
