The 2006 Pinot Noir is an explosive “Wow!” wine with an engaging nose of blackberries, Bing cherries and red currants accented by black-pepper spice and a hint of black licorice. Barrel-fermentation and gentle stirring during aging in French oak barrels enhanced the elegant texture and lingering, spicy finish. Our associate winemaker, Richard Sowalsky, especially likes this FumÉ Blanc with garlic-infused dishes, such as fettuccini with rock shrimp and garlic, or Tuscan roast chicken with garlic, lemon and herbs.

A full-bodied yet supple wine, this Merlot has good structure, with excellent acidity that keeps it lively.
