Since 1983, the Butler Winery has strived to produce high quality, award winning and enjoyable wines. Jim Butler, owner and winemaker, specializes in 12 fine dinner wines, all from Indiana-grown grapes. The winery also produces a cider and fruit wines. In 1992, Jim established a vineyard at his family's home located nine miles northeast of Bloomington. Winemaking now occurs in the cellar at the vineyard/winery. During your visit to the vineyard, enjoy the beautiful view from the spacious deck adjacent to the the vineyard tasting and sales room. Cellar tours are available upon request if the staff is not too busy. Fridays through Sundays the vineyard's Pizza Parlor is open for lunch and dinner. Menu items include pizzas, breadsticks, salads & yummy desserts! Hours: April - November:

Black Currant
Made from Indiana-grown black currants. It has a rich, savory aroma that climbs right out of the glass! Each sip has loads of sweet cassis flavor. A great cooking wine.

Blueberry

Butler Vineyard Chambourcin
Smooth, dry red wine. Medium body; aged in oak for one year. Aroma has notes of cedar mixed with fresh bramble fruit. Blackberries & cherries on the palate make this wine very drinkable. Silver medal winner at the 2005 Indy International.

Cassis Noir
Made from Indiana-grown black currants. We have taken our yummy black currant wine & added grape brandy to bring the alcohol up to about 20%. Excellent wine as dessert or a night cap. It doesn't take much of this wine to satisfy your palate :) 375 mL bottles only.
